June 21
Operation While Impaired
On June 21st at approximately 9:30 PM, a routine traffic stop was conducted. The 30-year-old male driver showed signs of impairment and provided a fail reading on the Alcohol Sensing Device. He was issued Immediate Roadside Sanctions and his vehicle was towed.
June 22
No Insurance
At approximately 12:30 AM, Police conducted a traffic stop. The 20-year-old male driver was issued a violation ticket for no insurance and will appear in court at a later date.
Operation While Impaired Driving
A vehicle was stopped in the downtown area, resulting in a 32-year-old driver receiving Immediate Roadside Sanctions after failing a roadside test. The male was also issued a violation ticket for transporting liquor within easy reach.
Shoplifting
A west-end grocery store reported two male shoplifters. The suspects fled from the store prior to Police arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
Break and Enter
Police are investigating a break and enter after a resident reported their storage locker had been accessed. Surveillance footage has been requested, and the investigation continues.
June 23
Drive without a Licence
A vehicle was stopped after being observed unable to maintain its lane. The 22-year-old driver was issued a violation ticket for driving without a licence.
Theft of Bicycle
A south side resident reported his son’s BMX bike had been stolen sometime overnight. The bike was properly secured, and the suspect(s) cut the lock. Video surveillance is pending.
