September 9
Public Intoxication
At approximately 11:15 p.m., police received several calls regarding a male in Duggan Park pond near 69 Street and 42 Avenue requesting assistance. Officers located the 31-year-old male, who appeared to be impaired by drugs. Emergency Medical Services attended, assessed the individual, and transported him to a relative’s residence.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., police located the same male outside the residence. He was arrested for public intoxication, lodged in Camrose Police Service cells, and later released once sober.
September 10
Disturbance
A report was received of a disturbance between roommates at a residence in the 5200 block of 49 Street. Police mediated the verbal argument between roommates and diverted any future concerns to the Landlord Tenant Board.
Collision
Police were dispatched to a collision on 48 Avenue and 68 Street at 11:20 a.m. A 74-year-old man rear ended another vehicle. Checks on the male determined he was currently a suspended driver. The vehicle was towed and violation tickets were served on the driver.
Disturbance
Dispatch received a complaint about a disturbance on 69A Street and 40 Avenue. Police spoke with a 25-year-old male and a 35-year-old female. The situation was mediated and both parties agreed to separate for the night.
Theft Under $5000
At 9:30 P.M. a complaint was received of a theft at a downtown business. Video surveillance was obtained in identifying the offender.
Mischief
Police received several complaints in the Duggan Park area of individuals in a vehicle that were throwing eggs at several residences. A license plate was obtained to follow-up with the registered owner.
Warrant
A traffic stop was conducted for vehicle infractions and a passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and lodged until bail was paid for the outstanding fine.
September 11
Warrant Arrest
Police arrested a 46-year-old male on an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation. The male was held for a judicial hearing and subsequently released.
Stolen Vehicle Investigation
Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 4900 block of 53 Street. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the key fob and personal belongings inside at the time of the theft. The investigation remains ongoing.
September 12
Traffic Stop
At approximately 9:00 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle displaying a mismatched licence plate. Investigation revealed the vehicle was uninsured and unregistered. The 27-year-old driver was charged with several offences, including operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, misuse of plate and suspended driving. The vehicle was towed from scene.
Trespass Notice Issued
At the request of a local citizen, police issued a trespass notice to a 63-year-old male prohibiting him from attending a local church property after several complaints from the establishment. The male was located and served.
September 13
Young Child Safely Located
At approximately 11:00 a.m., police received a report that a small child had left their residence and may have been heading toward a nearby park. Officers deployed a CPS drone and quickly responded and located the child approximately 15 minutes after receiving the complaint. The child’s mother attended and safely reunited with the child.
September 14
Attempted Break and Enter
At approximately 10:30 p.m., police received a report of an attempted break and enter at a downtown retail business.
A witness reported observing a male fleeing the area in a pickup truck. Police conducted patrols but were unable to locate the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing.
September 15
Stolen Mobility Scooter Recovered
Police received a report that a mobility scooter recently reported stolen had been located at a recreational facility. The scooter was recovered and returned to its rightful owner. The investigation remains active as officers continue efforts to identify those responsible.
