August 26

Uninsured motorcycle

Police conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle for traffic violation and determined the motorcycle was uninsured. The 26-year-old male driver was issued a ticket for no Insurance and the motorcycle was towed.

August 27

Assist Emergency Medical Services

At approximately 4:30 pm police received multiple reports of a possibly intoxicated male in the area of 68 Street and Marler Drive. Police located the male subject unconscious and administered medical assistance. Emergency Medical Services attended and took over the care of the subject.

Breach curfew

At approximately 5:30 pm police responded to a report of a male subject causing a disturbance at a residence in the area of 4400 Block and 65 Street. Police were unable to locate the male subject until approximately an hour later when the 31-year-old male subject returned to the residence. Police mediated the situation and  provided advice to the complainant.

At approximately 10:30 pm police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated male subject in the area of 6800 Block and Marler Drive. Police located the 31-year-old male subject at a residence in violation of a curfew condition. The male was directed home and provided a warning.

Trespass

At approximately 11 pm police responded to a report of four subjects on the roof of a local business, one of which was violating a Trespass Notice to the business. Upon police arrival the subjects fled the area. Two of the subjects were located by police walking in the area and were served Trespass Notices to the business.

Assault

At approximately 12:30 am police responded to a report of an assault at a local hotel. Police arrested the 34-year-old male subject and charged him with Assault with a Weapon. The male was detained awaiting Judicial Interim Release.

August 28

Causing disturbance

At approximately 9 am police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated person causing a disturbance at a residence. Police spoke with the 18-year-old subject and mediated the situation.

Trespass

At approximately 9 pm police responded to a report of a possible theft of electricity in the area of 4900 Block and 50 Street. Police located a 45-year-old male and a 57-year-old female subject. The female was uncooperative and arrested. Upon cooperation, the female was issued a ticket for Public Intoxication and released. The male subject was issued a Trespass Notice.

Fire response

At approximately 10:30 pm police responded to a report of a fire in the back alley in the area east of 50 Street and 49 Avenue. The fire was extinguished upon police arrival. Information was received of a male in the area that started the fire for warmth.

Breach of Peace

At approximately 10:30 pm police responded to a report of a disturbance at a local hotel. Police arrested a male for Breach of Peace. The male for transported to Camrose Police Service cells and held until sober.

Breach of Court Order and outstanding warrants

Police arrested a 39-year-old female for Breach of Court Orders and outstanding warrants. The female was held in Camrose Police Service cells until a Judicial Interim Release hearing.

August 29

Intoxicated male

A complaint was received of an intoxicated male behind a local business. Police located the 33-year-old male who was with a family member to take care of him and drive him home.

Scam

A couple attended the police service advising they were scammed for over $1000. The fraudster advised they owed money for an outstanding bill. Advice was provided.

Attempt theft

At 7:45 pm a citizen reported a male attempting to steal a bicycle in the area of 54 Street in the 4700 block. Police attended and the 45-year-old male known to police ran from the scene prior to taking the bike. The male will be issued a trespass notice and a violation ticket when located.

Noise complaint

A complaint was received of noise coming from a local motel room. Police spoke with a 72-year-old male and gave him a warning.

Disturbance

A disturbance was observed by police outside of the police service between a couple. A 31-year-old male and a 46-year-old female were grossly intoxicated and unable to take care of themselves. Both were arrested and released when sober.

August 30 to August 31

Vehicle break-in investigation

Police received a report that an unlocked vehicle had been entered between approximately 3 am and 8:30 am on August 30. The vehicle’s steering column and ignition sustained damage; however, no property was reported stolen. No arrests have been made and the matter remains under investigation.

Theft investigation

Police are investigating the theft of approximately $600 worth of merchandise from a local business. No arrests have been made and the matter remains under investigation.

Property damage

At approximately 11 pm on August 30, police received reports of a male suspect damaging the front window of a commercial property. Police obtained a description of the individual involved and the investigation is continuing.

Criminal flight results in arrest

At approximately 10:30 pm on August 30, Camrose Police were notified by RCMP of a motorcycle fleeing police that had entered the city limits. The operator of the motorcycle abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot before being located and arrested near the area of 47 Avenue and 53 Street. The 46-year-old male was taken into custody by the RCMP.

Elderly male assisted home safely

At approximately 5 pm on August 31, police responded to concerns regarding an elderly male who had become disoriented several blocks from his residence and was unable to find his way home. Police safely transported the male back to his residence and caregivers.

Trespass Notice issued

Police responded to a complaint regarding an unwanted individual attending a residence. A 31-year-old male was located and issued a Trespass Notice.

Disturbance Complaints

At approximately 8 am, police attended the 4700 Block of 47 Street after receiving reports of two individuals yelling in the area. A 28-year-old male and a 33-year-old female were located and provided a verbal warning.

At approximately 11:30 am, police responded to another disturbance in the 4300 Block of 41 Street involving a male and female. Police spoke with the involved parties and provided information regarding available community resources.

Intoxication and Damage to Police Property

At approximately 10:15 pm, police responded to a report of a female in distress. Officers located a 39-year-old female who was arrested for intoxication and lodged in Camrose Police Service cells. While in custody, the female caused damage to police property. The female was charged with Mischief and later released on an Appearance Notice.

Disturbance and Trespass

Shortly after midnight on September 1 police responded to reports of a male yelling in the area of Duggan Park. Officers located the 28-year-old male, warned him regarding causing a disturbance and issued him a Trespass Notice.

Reminder to Public

Camrose Police Service reminds residents to secure vehicles by locking doors and removing valuables from plain view.
