Day 1 – BVJ

During routine patrols near the Coors Banquet area, police stopped an intoxicated male who was refusing to provide his name. The individual was arrested for public intoxication. During a search incidental to his arrest, police located his ID in his wallet. The 33-year-old male had his wristband cut and was transported to cells to remain until sober.

Police were also requested to assist in the Coors Banquet area with a 26-year-old male who was grossly intoxicated and uncooperative with security. Officers attended the scene and cut the male’s wristband. He was then transported back to his campsite by security staff.

During routine patrols in the BVJ Campground, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle. All four occupants exited the vehicle and fled the scene. The investigation identified the driver, a 20-year-old male. He was located and found to be intoxicated. A roadside breath sample resulted in a fail. The male was charged with impaired driving, issued a license suspension, and his vehicle was seized for 30 days.
