Attempted Theft of Truck
An east end business reported that a truck parked in their lot was broken into, with the ignition torn apart. Despite no suspects or surveillance footage in the area, the complaint did not want an investigation but requested extra patrols in the vicinity.
Mischief – Damage to Property
In separate incidents, downtown businesses reported instances of property damage. One business experienced a broken window, seemingly caused by an object thrown at it. Fortunately, video surveillance footage provided by the business facilitated police identification of a female suspect. A second complaint from another downtown business echoed similar concerns. Consequently, the suspect was apprehended to prevent further disturbance of peace, and was held in police custody pending further investigation.
Shoplifting
A west end business reported an incident of shoplifting involving two individuals who stole items the previous day. The business provided video surveillance footage help with the police investigation. The incident is still under investigation.
