Police Service Report: May 3 – May 5
Collision
On May 3rd, police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a collision in the east end. A 55-year-old female driver was issued a violation ticket for entering an intersection unsafely. Additionally, the 49-year-old male operating the other vehicle received violation tickets for driving while unauthorized, driving an uninsured motor vehicle on the highway, and failure to register the vehicle.
Driving while Prohibited
A routine traffic stop resulted in a 39-year-old male being charged for driving while prohibited. The male was also issued violation tickets for other provincial offences.
Violation Tickets
Following a traffic stop, a 45-year-old female driver received a ticket for driving without registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle on the highway.
On May 4th, around 12 P.M., officers conducted a vehicle stop on a truck partially parked in a ditch. The 29-year-old female driver was issued violation tickets for driving while unauthorized, no registration, and driving without insurance. She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Theft of Bicycle
A resident shopping at a business in the west end reported the theft of his bicycle while he was inside the store.
Impaired Driving
On May 4th, around 6:30 P.M., police conducted a traffic stop on Mount Pleasant Drive in the 4700 block. A 33-year-old female driver was issued a 24-hour license suspension and violation tickets for other provincial offences. Additionally, a 41-year-old passenger received a violation ticket for a tobacco-related offence.
On May 5th, at approximately 1:50 A.M., a routine traffic stop led to a 30-year-old female providing a warn reading on the alcohol sensing device.
Shoplifting
On May 5th, around 7:55 P.M., a business in the west end reported a shoplifting incident. The suspect left in a vehicle prior to police arrival. The vehicle was located, and a 36-year-old female was issued a Trespass Notice, prohibiting her from attending the business premises.
