A west end business reported they had apprehended a female shoplifter. Police attended and issued the female a 5 year trespass notice to the business.
An east end business reported that electronics were stolen from their inventory. Police are investigating.
On Thursday afternoon, a 2022 black Ford F350 was stolen from an east end business.
Two reports received of mischief and thefts from parked vehicles from a residential area in the east end of the city.
Police received a theft complaint of an unlocked vehicle that was running with keys in it from a downtown residence. The vehicle was located a few blocks over without the keys in it and was returned to the owner.
An assault occurred at a west end business were an unknown subject went up behind an employee and grabbed their neck. The unknown subject left before Police arrived on scene. A description was given to the Police and the incident is still under investigation.
Police were called to an assault complaint that involved a man and a woman. Investigation determined that the woman and her child were assaulted and confined to a residence. The 47 year old male was located and arrested. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and forcible confinement. The male appeared before a justice of the peace and was remanded into custody.
