The PACT Unit along with Patrol members conducted an assessment of an individual from the referral received yesterday. Force was required to gain compliance with the male who was then able to be diverted into treatment.
A local business reported that an employee had fallen victim of a scam. A subject had called the business posing as the employees’ manager and gave direction to deposit money from the business into a bitcoin ATM.
A local couple reported they had fallen victim of a scam after an individual called posing as an employee of their bank’s fraud department. The couple complied with the fraudsters request for banking information which was then used to compromise their credit card.
A senior citizen reported that they were scammed over Facebook in a lottery scam. They were told they won money but, they had to provide $600 in Apple gift cards to claim it. Providing gift card numbers to an unknown individual is a very common method for many types of scams and should never be done.
A resident reported that two unknown people were observed inside their neighbor’s holiday trailer. Police attended and located two individuals known to them who had entered the unlocked trailer as they had nowhere else to live. No damage was caused. The couple was warned and sent on their way as per the wishes of the trailer owner.
A teenager reported unwanted contact by an acquaintance. Police spoke to all involved individuals and some steps were taken to ensure there are no further issues.
The female arrested yesterday for assault, mischief, and cause a disturbance was released by a Justice of the Peace with a court date and several conditions following her Judicial Interim Release Hearing.
Police assisted in removing two unwanted people from a residence.
