Police received a call about a male who was in distress near Mirror Lake and the male was experiencing some cold related issues. Police located the male and transported him to St. Mary’s Hospital.

A Camrose resident reported harassment from a male she met on a dating web site. Police provided safety advice and are continuing their efforts to speak to the male who does not reside in Camrose.

A west end Camrose business reported a possible attempted fraud where an individual attempted to tender a fire relief coupon as payment. Staff did not accept the payment and the individual left the store. Police were not able to locate the suspect.

An east end Camrose business reported a theft of a vehicle that had occurred over the last week. Police are investigating.

A Camrose resident was arrested on outstanding warrants.

Police provided assistance to two youth after they reported that they were being followed and bothered by some other youth.

A Camrose resident reported that their identity had been stolen after they received notification that an unknown individual had tried to open an account in their name. This reporter has had prior issues with identity theft, and it appears that their information is still being used. Police provided advice and are investigating. Personal documents should always be safeguarded, and diligence is always needed when sharing personal information. Identity theft can create prolonged issues as personal information that has been stolen can be hard to track down and completely erase from being used by unwanted persons.

A suspicious vehicle took off from Police two separate times. Officers were able to stop the truck after the second time and the driver was placed under arrest. A 31-year-old male who recently relocated to Camrose was charged with flight from police, driving while suspended, driving without insurance and registration, and driving with alcohol within reach.   The vehicle was towed, and the male was later released with a court date.

Two separate reports about a female acting strange were received. Police attended the area and located a female who was experiencing mental health issues. Police formed the grounds to apprehend the female under the Mental Health Act and she was transported to a mental health facility.
