RV break in
A person reported their RV was broken into and damaged, while the vehicle was parked in the area of 3700 Block and 47 Avenue.
Outstanding warrant
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no registration/insurance. Police observed drug paraphernalia and open liquor within the reach of the driver. The male operator of the vehicle was arrested for outstanding warrant.
Breach of curfew
Police arrested a male for breaching his curfew. The male was transported to Camrose Police Service cells and later released from custody.
Indecent act
A person reported a male committing an indecent act in a local public parking lot. Police attended and spoke with the subject of the complaint. A 63-year-old male was arrested and charged with Indecent Act and Obscene Material.
Counterfeit $20
A representative of a local business reported receiving counterfeit $20 bills. Police attended and seized the bills.
Police have noted an uptick in counterfeit bills in the community and are asking citizens to carefully examine all bills at their business.
Attempt break in
A representative of a local church reported an attempt break into a storage container located on the church property, by cutting a lock. Access was not gained.
Search warrant
Police executed a search warrant on a local residence leading to the seizure of two ounces of methamphetamine , a taser, a collapsable baton and multiple safes containing $1500 cash, 1.5 ounces of cocaine, and 1000 mL GHB. A 38-year-old male was charged with three counts of drug related offences and various weapon offences.
Unsafe vehicle
A person reported a truck pulling a flat-deck trailer with tires nearly falling off. Camrose Community Peace Officer and police members attended the area and located the subject vehicle determining it was unsafe. The 27-year-old operator of the subject vehicle was charged with operating or permitting to be operated an unsafe commercial vehicle.
Attempt break and enter
A representative of a local business reported subjects attempting to break into the business and cutting feeds to the business camera. The subjects left prior to police arrival. Police searched the area and located two male subjects fitting the description provided by the complainant. The two males were found in possession of break in tools and a full-face mask. Both were arrested for outstanding warrants.
Excessive speed
Police clocked a car travelling west on 48 Avenue and 39 Street at 152 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Officers were able to conduct a traffic stop at 65 Street and 48 Avenue. The driver was arrested for dangerous driving and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. The 36-year-old man provided breath samples that were over twice the legal limit. He was charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving under the Criminal Code and was issued several other fines and provincial sanctions. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.
Police clocked a truck travelling west on 48 Avenue and 56 Street at 113 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was showing signs of impairment. The 20-year-old driver blew a ‘Caution’ on a mandatory alcohol screening test. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Sanction, charged with speeding and his vehicle was impounded.
Assault officer
Police were requested by a person at a local motel to attend to a female subject who was screaming and yelling and pacing around. Management of the motel requested the female be banned. The female became aggressive, throwing tent poles and spitting in the direction of the police. The female was arrested and transported to Camrose Police Service cells. The female was charged with Assaulting a Police Officer with a Weapon and Breach of Release Conditions and issued a lifetime ban from the motel.
Breach of undertaking
Police arrested a female for two counts of Breach her release conditions.
Unwanted guest
A representative of a local motel requested police assistance to deal with an unwanted guest. Police issued a trespass notice.
Assault
Police observed an assault in progress. A male was arrested and charged with Assault and Breach of his Court Order.
Stolen scooter
A person reported their electric scooter was stolen while parked outside a local retail business.
Assault
A person reported being assaulted in his yard by an unknown male. Description provided. Police located the male and issued him a trespass notice.
Unlawfully residing
A person reported possible unwanted person(s) living in a trailer located on the reporting person’s property. Police attended and located a female and male in the trailer. The two subjects were issued trespass notices and told to pack up and leave.
Open liquor and cannabis in reach of driver
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. Police observed open liquor and cannabis within reach of the operator of the vehicle. The vehicle also had no insurance. Police issued violation tickets and the vehicle was towed.
Theft
A person reported their garage door was open and some items were missing, the car door was left open and loose change missing from the car. The complainant also reported finding 22 bullets on the floor and a leaf blower, not belonging to the complainant. Police seized the bullets and leaf blower. An investigation continues on this matter.
Impaired driving
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The 57-year-old male blew a fail and was issued an Immediate Roadside Sanction. The vehicle was towed.
