Theft
A representative of a local retail business reported theft of a steak. Police reviewed CCTV footage and were able to identify a licence plate number of the subject vehicle involved. This matter is still under investigation.
Counterfeit bills
Police are investigating after receiving a report that several counterfeit bills were passed at a local retail business.
Stolen Vehicle
Police assisted Edmonton Police Service with the matter of a suspicious vehicle (registered in Camrose)found in a ditch. Edmonton Police Service requested Camrose Police speak with the registered owner, which confirmed that the subject vehicle was stolen. The registered owner had parked the vehicle at the Edmonton Airport.
Breach conditions
Police conducted a traffic stop on suspicion of impaired driving. The 54-year-old male operator of the vehicle was a suspended driver. The male was also arrested for breach of conditions and lodged in Camrose Police Service cells.
Speeding
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. The 42-year-old male operator of the vehicle was issued violation tickets as it was determined he did not have a valid operator’s licence.
Causing disturbance
A representative of a local motel reported a male refusing to leave the property. Police attended, located and arrested the 33-year-old male subject for public intoxication. The male was transported to Camrose Police Service cells and released when sober.
Stolen Phone
A person reported a cell phone stolen after being accidently left at a local convenience store. Police reviewed CCTV footage from the store noting a male suspect. This matter is still under investigation.
Fail to produce
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The 31-year-old female operator of the vehicle was issued violation tickets for failing to produce insurance and registration and driving without a licence. The passenger was issued a violation ticket for improper use of a seatbelt.
Causing issues
A person reported a male subject causing issues at a local gas station. Police attended, located and arrested the 42-year-old male for public intoxication. The male was transported to Camrose Police Service cells and released when sober.
Underage possession of alcohol
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for suspicion of impaired driving. The youth passenger was issued a violation ticket for possession of open liquor in a motor vehicle.
Outstanding warrants
Police arrested a 28-year-old male for outstanding warrants.
Break and Enter
On April 7 at 0426 hours police responded to a break and enter in progress at a business in the area of 56 Street and 48 Avenue. Police attended , cleared the premises and determined the suspect had left prior to police arrival. It was determined that prefilled disposable vapes were stolen from the business. Investigation is ongoing.
Theft
A representative of a local retail business reported a male and female suspect stole merchandise from the business. The person reporting provided police with a description of the suspects and subject vehicle. Police located the subject vehicle and the two suspects, a 25-year-old female and 30-year-old male. Police issued trespass notices and the stolen merchandise was recovered.
Impaired driver
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The 21-year-old male operator of the vehicle failed an Alcohol Screening test. The male was arrested for impaired driving and breaching conditions of a release order. The vehicle was towed.
Causing concerns
A person reported a male subject causing issues inside a residence. The 15-year-old male was subsequently arrested and transported to Camrose Police Service cells to prevent further breach of the peace.
Theft
A representative of a local construction business reported the theft of $3500 worth of tools from a trailer parked in the area of 52A Street and 4900 Block . The matter is still under investigation.
Assault
A person reported being assaulted by another male subject known to him. Police attended and arrested a 15-year-old male for assault, uttering threats and mischief.
