A 35-year-old male was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was later remanded into custody. The charges stemmed from an incident on November 16 where a 28-year-old male was charged with similar offences in relation to a residential disturbance. Both males were known to each other.
Police responded to a call from EMS regarding an elderly male that was suicidal. Police attended and found the male was grossly intoxicated by alcohol. He was taken to hospital by EMS to sober and undergo mental health assessment.
