Police located a man who had outstanding warrants. While being arrested he resisted police and force was required to gain control of the man. He was brought before the Justice of the Peace and released on bail.
A traffic stop was attempted on an older model truck but it accelerated quickly to evade Police which resulted in the vehicle striking a power pole. The vehicle however was still able to speed away and drive reckless in a residential area so the pursuit was terminated for public safety. The matter is under investigation.
Police attempted a traffic stop on a red car but it accelerated and reached speeds in excess of 120 km/hr on 48 Avenue. The pursuit was terminated. Police do have a suspected and the investigation is ongoing.
Police attempted a traffic stop on a white car but it kept trying to evade police. Once the member recognized that the driver’s actions were a danger to the public the pursuit was terminated. Police were able to identify the owner of the vehicle. Charges are pending further investigation.
A complaint was received of an intoxicated man who was refusing to leave a licensed premise. Police attended and he was arrested for public intoxication. He was released without charges when he was sober.
