A west end business for the second day in a row reported a theft in progress.  Police attended and located the female suspect leaving in her vehicle.  A traffic stop was conducted and the female was arrested for theft and outstanding warrants.  She was determined to be the same female who stole from two businesses on January 22.  Police checks determined that her driver’s license was suspended.  Her vehicle was seized for 60 days and stolen property was recovered.  She was charged with 3 counts of theft under $5000 and released on an Undertaking.

Police received a report of a license plate stolen off of a parked vehicle.

Two complaints were received of a man and a woman screaming in the downtown area.  Police located a female who was the victim of an assault.  A short time later the male suspect was located and placed under arrest.  The investigation determined that he has assaulted the female as well as damaged her cell phone and vehicle.  The man has been charged with assault and two counts of mischief under $5000.  He will have a bail hearing to determine his release.
