Assault
The Police were notified of an incident at an east end business involving suspected shoplifting. Upon intervention by the manager, the suspect assaulted the manager before leaving with the merchandise. The Police apprehended the individual behind a nearby establishment and placed her under arrest. The 29-year-old female suspect has been charged with assault and subsequently released on an undertaking.
Theft under $5000
The Police responded to a report regarding a theft from a vehicle parked at an east end hotel. Tools were reported stolen, and the investigation into the matter remains ongoing.
Mischief
A complaint was reported from the downtown area regarding a bike lock that was cut. Fortunately, the bicycle itself was left undisturbed. The Police determined that there is no surveillance In the area.
