One of the accused, Jeffery Roblin (39-years-old) of the lengthy theft investigation (Operation Elephant) has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison.
The nearly three-year (2021 to 2024) ALERT Auto Crimes unit investigation originated in Camrose and area and involved the theft of $3.1 million in farm and construction equipment.
Roblin pleaded guilty to possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking in property obtained by crime.
Other accused, Gaye Turnbull, is scheduled for trial in April 2027.
