A resident attended the front counter reporting she had been the victim of an online scam. The scammers promised the complainant would receive money and asked her to create a Crypto account. The resident lost over $21,000. The investigation is continuing.
Police are investigating a second fraud after a male advised he clicked on a link he received via text. The male has since discovered unauthorized transfers totaling over $10,000. This matter is still under investigation.
