BVJ – Day 2

Police responded to a complaint regarding a male causing damage to a vehicle. Police located the male and determined he was intoxicated and was purposely causing damage to property. The male was arrested for mischief and his wrist band to the BVJ event was removed. The male was issued a trespass notice and released on charges upon his release. 

Police responded to a dispute between a male and a female, during which the female was getting aggressive.  The investigation determined the dispute was only verbal but the female was uncooperative.  The 24-year old female was subsequently arrested to prevent the breach of peace.  Police record checks revealed the female had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.  The female was arrested and transported to cells, where she remained until released when sober.  The matter is set to appear in Court at a later date.

While on routine patrols, Police noted a group of 4 females fighting.  Police intervened and mediated the situation.  All individuals were sent on their way back to their respective campsites.

Police conducted a vehicle stop for distracted driving while using his cellphone.  Police spoke with the 21-year old male driver who displayed the usual signs of impairment.  Police obtained a sample of his breath roadside, which he failed.  The male was charged for impaired driving and distracted driving.  The male was issued a license suspension and his vehicle was seized and towed.

Police conducted a vehicle stop with a vehicle being operated in campground after the vehicle curfew time.  The 19-year old male driver provided a breath sample which resulted in a “caution” on the roadside approved screening device.  The male driver was issued a license suspension and his vehicle was seized and towed.
