Pedestrian struck

A motorist reported striking a pedestrian at the intersection of 47 Street and 50 Avenue. Pedestrian received minor injuries.

Investment scam

A person reported being a victim of an online scam that began with the purchase of a book (DeepSeek) about artificial intelligence, which turned into an investment scam where a person was sent to the victim’s residence to pick up cash.

Dog attack

A resident reported an attack by a dog resulting in minor injuries to both herself and her dog. Community Peace Officer continues investigation.

Scams

A person reported being the victim of fraud by a caller claiming they needed money for medical concerns. Victim sent the person $1,850 in gift cards.

Another person reported being contacted by someone claiming to be their son needing money after being in an accident. The person hung up on the caller.

Semi collision

A motorist reported that their vehicle was struck by a semi -truck and the driver did not stop. Police located the semi-truck in question and dealt with the situation.

Doors kicked

A resident reported the door of their house, located in the 45 Avenue and 68 Street area, was kicked in and the door latch was broken. Investigation continues.

Another resident reported their door kicked in the 59 Street and 43 Avenue area.

Police determined incidents appear to be property damage rather than attempted break and enters.

Backyard intruder

A resident reported seeing, on their surveillance camera, an unknown female in their backyard. Police located the female and issued her a warning.

Assault with a weapon

A person reported an assault with a weapon after observing a female break into their garage and steal an axe then brandish it at a male. Police located and arrested the female in question.

Collision

Police responded to a collision at 39 Street and 48 Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, that committed an unsafe left turn striking another vehicle charged under the Traffic Safety Act. There were no injuries.

Stolen wallet

A person reported their wallet stolen from their vehicle while it was parked in the area of 4722 46 Street. Investigation continues.

Overdose

Police responded to a report of a female who had overdosed. Police administered Narcan and the female was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by EMS.
